Aitvara (AITVARAS)
Synopsis:
Aitvaras are creatures lead by luck itself. They are a species known for testing their own chance, with said attempts either having beneficial boons or destructive consequences. They are gamblers of fate through and through, and have earned themselves quite the reputation because of it. Their gambling doesn't only extend to the whims of fate, though- Aitvaras are known to be quite the penny-pinchers, earning themselves a solid reputation as wealthy merchants of society. Whether aitvaras are lucky enough to amass this wealth or unlucky enough to lose it all, that is up to their own gambles with fate...
COMMON TRAITS:
- Flaming crest of feathers on the head (similar to that of a rooster’s crest)
- Flaming meteor tail (reminiscent of a rooster tail)
- Commonly darker in color with bright accents
- Appearance may shift between indoors and outdoors to be more avian/draconic respectively
- Talons
- Beaks / Beak-like facial structure
- Mismatched wings
- Dragon traits (But not enough for the character to be mistaken for a dragon)
PHYSICAL APPEARANCE:
Aitvaras may appear to have a chaotic and mismatched appearance, perhaps reminiscent of their many gambles with luck and fate. Their most notable features are their flaming crests and tails, flickering proudly from their bodies. Alongside their typically darker feather colors, their flames certainly stand out. Aitvaras may also strangely host draconic traits, such as a mismatched wing or even scales, but not enough to be confused for an actual dragon within Lumin. However, even stranger, an aitvara may suddenly gain more of said draconic traits when in an indoor setting, and spontaneously lose them in outdoor settings. Perhaps their oddities are side effects of their fickle luck?
