Griffins may come in a wide variety of appearances, as their base appearances may pull from a variety of inspirations. Alongside the typical depiction of griffins as hyrbids between a lion and a bird, griffins within Lumen may pull from a variety of different cat species, which includes other wild cats or even your standard domesticated cat. These griffins are not merely limited to feline appearances, though- canine-based appearances are available as well. This can include any sort of domesticated dog or any form of wild dog. No matter if a griffin is feline or canine, though, bird-like traits will always be present in some way. This can range from the inclusion of feathers, talons, wings or beaks. While it is not required for all of these bird traits to be present, it is expected that at least one or two of these be present in some form. Griffins are an extremely prideful species, and such would commonly reflect in their physical appearances. Their feathers and fur are often extremely well kempt and graceful. While only slightly above-average in size, a griffin is likely to keep an upright and refined stature, perhaps in an attempt to seem taller than they are.
